🐾 Hoyt Pack
(Big Dog + Sensitive Boy Edition)
We live with two very different dogs—Knox (our high-drive shepherd mix who lives for the ball and thinks he runs neighborhood security) and Maverick (our sensitive gentleman with a more delicate stomach).
Over time, we’ve built a simple system that keeps both of them thriving. These are the exact products we use daily in our home—recommended by our vet and tested in real life.

🌅 Morning Routine
Mornings are structured and consistent. This helps Knox channel his energy and keeps Maverick’s digestion stable.
Dasuquin (Joint Support for Knox)
We started joint support proactively after our vet recommended it for large, active breeds. Knox didn’t have major issues—but as a long, lanky shepherd mix who lives hard for the ball, prevention felt smarter than waiting.
FortiFlora (Probiotic for Maverick)
Maverick has a more sensitive stomach, and this has been the most consistent probiotic for him. It’s simple, easy to add to meals, and part of our daily rhythm.
Wonder Paws Collagen (Joint & Mobility Support for Knox)
Along with his primary joint supplement, we add collagen to help support long-term mobility. Knox is a high-energy, ball-driven dog who puts a lot of miles on his body, so we focus on consistent daily support rather than waiting for issues to show up.
Slippery Elm & Marshmallow Root (Digestive Support for Maverick)
Maverick has a more sensitive stomach, so we keep a few gentle digestive supports in our routine. This blend combines slippery elm and marshmallow root, two ingredients commonly used to help soothe and support the digestive tract. We keep it on hand for times when his stomach needs a little extra support.
Brutus Bone Broth
We use bone broth as a topper and hydration boost. It makes meals more exciting and supports overall gut health for both dogs.
🎾 Daily Movement & Enrichment
Knox is ball-driven and high-alert. Structured movement isn’t optional in our house—it’s essential.
Chuckit! Ultra Ball (Knox’s Ball of Choice)
Knox lives for the ball, and this is the one that has held up the best in our house. It’s durable enough for strong jaws, easy to spot in the grass, and stands up to the daily sprint-and-fetch sessions that keep him happy.
High-Durability Chew Toys
For a dog that works hard outside, mental decompression matters inside. We stick to toys that actually last. Our boys love Benebones in particular. We also like to freeze peanut butter or canned dog food in Extreme Kongs and the Woof Power Chewer Pupsicle.
💛 Foster Add-Ons
When we bring foster dogs into our home, we prioritize predictability and calm.
Crate & Safe Space Essentials
Every foster gets a structured environment to help them decompress.
Calming & Transition Support Items
Simple tools like routine and structure help make transitions smoother for new dogs adjusting to family life.
🏡 Our Philosophy
We don’t chase trends. We build routines.
With a high-drive big dog and a sensitive companion, consistency has been the biggest game changer. These are simply the tools that help us maintain structure, health, and sanity in a very normal, very real family home.
